Softball Game Preview: Madison Mavericks vs. Lee Ganders

The Madison Mavericks will square off against the Lee Ganders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Lee took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Madison, who comes in off a win.

Madison is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Brandeis 17-2 on Wednesday. The Mavericks have beaten the Broncos the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Broncos has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Lee was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of West Brook.

Jordand Findlay led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jennifer Martinez, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

Lee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Madison, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
