Softball Recap: Hamilton County Trojans vs. Wakulla Christian School Saints

With a playoff game on the line, Hamilton County rose to the challenge on Monday. They blew past the Wakulla Christian School Saints 18-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Hamilton County considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Emily Peacock made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Peacock was also big at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a home run, four runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Hamilton County let De'Nyla Cherry and Bailey Driggers loose on the outfield. Cherry went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and a double, while Driggers scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Morgan, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
