Volleyball Recap: Bertie Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bertie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Holmes Aces. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aces this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-2, 25-4.

Holmes found their leader in freshman Brystol Belch, who had 14 aces. With that strong performance, Belch is now averaging an impressive 2.4 aces per game.

Bertie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Holmes, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Bertie has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Gates County on the 18th. As for Holmes, they will take on Perquimans at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
