Lincoln can bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They never let the Grove City Greyhounds get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The Lions not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 7th (when they won 16-0).
Not much got past Aidan Piatt, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Grove City off the board.
At the plate, Anthony Pernotto was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was G Triplett, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Grove City, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-7.
Coming up, Lincoln is taking a road trip to square off against Central Crossing at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions are facing the Comets at the right time seeing as the Comets are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Grove City, they will challenge Watkins Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
