Softball Game Preview: South Plaquemines Hurricanes vs. Cohen Green Hornets

For the first time this season, South Plaquemines will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Cohen Green Hornets at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for South Plaquemines and six for Cohen.

South Plaquemines came up short against Edna Karr on Wednesday, falling 25-10.

Mahki'Yah Brown made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Ja'Lyiah Mackey was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Cohen fell victim to Newman and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 21-0 to the Greenies.

Cohen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for South Plaquemines, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
