Volleyball Recap: Soquel Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Soquel was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of San Lorenzo Valley on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights fell 3-1 to the Aptos Mariners on Thursday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mariners apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-27, 25-16.

Katy Eze paced Soquel's offense, picking up 11 kills. Eze got some help from Mia Riddle and her 16 assists. Olivia Barton controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Soquel now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Aptos, their record is now an identical 2-3.

Looking ahead, Soquel will be taking part in a tournament against Washington at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Aptos, they will welcome Scotts Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
