Volleyball Recap: Torree Sinn and Avery Noffsinger Secure Win for Wayne Trace

There's no place like home for Wayne Trace, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against the Edgerton Bulldogs by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Wayne Trace had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 27-25, 25-21.

Wayne Trace was led to victory by Avery Noffsinger and Torree Sinn. Noffsinger had ten digs and one assist, while Sinn had 27 kills, 23 digs, seven aces, and two blocks. Sinn has been hot, having posted nine or more kills the last five times she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Wayne Trace was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Edgerton's loss came despite strong showings from Aubrey Patrick and Alivia Farnham. Patrick had ten digs and three aces, while Farnham had 22 kills, eight digs, two blocks, and two aces. Elle Huard also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Wayne Trace's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Edgerton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

Coming up, Wayne Trace will head out to challenge Ottoville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edgerton, they will host Holgate at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
