Cottage Grove found a leader in Micah Spear as the squad took down Springfield on Saturday. The Millers had no answer to Spear as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Spear also tossed a walk, which is notable because Cottage Grove is 3-0-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-5 otherwise.

Coming up, Spear and Cottage Grove will square off against North Bend at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
