Baseball Recap: Kearny Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Kearny, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the High Tech SD Storm by a score of 11-8 on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Komets considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Nicolas Hembera was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Martinez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Kearny was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Kearny's record now sits at 11-17. As for High Tech SD, they moved to 12-10 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Kearny nor the Storm have any future games scheduled.
