Recap: Gray Stone Day Knights vs. North Moore Mustangs
The Gray Stone Day Knights were the 37-24 winner over the North Moore Mustangs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Gray Stone Day fell to North Moore 36-32. Gray Stone Day has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
North Moore's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Calissa Clendenin led the charge by scoring 8 points along with 13 rebounds. Zeikierra Young was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Gray Stone Day now has a losing record at 3-4. As for North Moore, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gray Stone Day will face off against Langtree Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Langtree Charter is ranked 431st, while Gray Stone Day is ranked 408th). North Moore won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. South Stanly is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
