Basketball Recap: Neuse Charter Comes Up Short

Neuse Charter was the 69-40 winner over Union when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Neuse Charter Cougars fell 49-42 to the Union Spartans on Thursday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Neuse Charter still got an impressive performance from Klayton Tew, who posted 11 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Demonte Jackson was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Neuse Charter's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Union, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-17.

Looking ahead, Neuse Charter will face off against Rosewood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neuse Charter is facing Rosewood at the right time seeing as Rosewood is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
