Softball Recap: Sheldon Comes Up Short

Sheldon lost against Whitney back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Huskies took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Sheldon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miyani Marshall, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Sheldon's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7-1. As for Whitney, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-7.

Sheldon and Whitney should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Huskies will challenge Cosumnes Oaks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (57 vs. 428). Meanwhile, Whitney (ranked 26th) will meet Folsom (ranked 165th) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
