Football Recap: Pueblo East Piles Up the Points Against Sierra + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pueblo East). They claimed a resounding 62-6 win over the Sierra Stallions. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Pueblo East's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dion Allsworth, who threw for 175 yards and three TDs on perfect 5-for-5 passing, and also punched in one rushing score. Those three passing touchdowns gave Allsworth a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dolphka Lewis, who rushed for 102 yards and a pair of scores.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Pueblo East's defense and their 5.5 sacks. Noah Van Hee was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.5 total tackles per game. Pueblo East received some extra help from Logan Trujillo, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

When it comes to explaining why Sierra lost, don't look at Patrick Robinson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 142 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Robinson was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 56 yards.

The win got Pueblo East back to even at 3-3. As for Sierra, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
