Matthew Carroll put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Monday. He struck out four batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.
