Sullivan and Central A & M are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Redskins will head out on the road to take on the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sullivan has three straight victories, Central A & M has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Sullivan is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Neoga 16-6 on Monday. The Redskins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.

Piper Conlin was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Mercer, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Conlin wasn't the only one making solid contact: Sullivan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Neoga only managed nine hits.

Meanwhile, Central A & M didn't have quite enough to beat LeRoy on Saturday and fell 9-8.

Riley Hazelwonder was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Lyndi Woods was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Sullivan's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Central A & M, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Sullivan has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Central A & M struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Sullivan skirted past Central A & M 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redskins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
