Soccer Game Preview: Northview vs. Thornapple Kellogg

The Northview Wildcats will head out to take on the Thornapple Kellogg Trojans at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Northview barely beat Greenville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats blew past the Yellow Jackets 6-1 on Saturday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Northview considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thornapple Kellogg). They never let Wyoming get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Wednesday. Thornapple Kellogg have beaten Wyoming the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Wyoming has come to flipping the script.

Thornapple Kellogg's win bumped their record up to 9-2-2. As for Northview, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-8-1.

Northview couldn't quite get it done against Thornapple Kellogg in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
