Beekmantown had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They came out on top against the Peru Nighthawks by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Nighthawks back in September, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Beekmantown had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-11, 25-13, 34-32.

Beekmantown's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Peru, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine matches and leaves them with a 9-2 record.

Coincidentally, Beekmantown and Peru will both be playing Plattsburgh the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Nighthawks will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
