Basketball Recap: Cypress Ridge Comes Up Short

Cypress Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 56-45 to the Cypress Creek Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 766th, while the Cougars are ranked 177th).

Cypress Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Cypress Creek, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-11.

Cypress Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Northbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cypress Creek, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
