Basketball Recap: Liguori Academy Takes a Loss

Liguori Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 63-20 loss at the hands of the Cristo Rey Philadelphia Blue Pride . Having soared to a lofty 57 points in the game before, the Falcons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the defeat, Liguori Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Rydee Miller posted six points.

Liguori Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Cristo Rey Philadelphia, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liguori Academy will challenge Solebury at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cristo Rey Philadelphia, they will square off against Life Center Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cristo Rey Philadelphia knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Life Center Academy likes a good challenge.
