Volleyball Recap: Christ Chapel Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Christ Chapel Academy kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Eastern Mennonite Flames. If Christ Chapel Academy was looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Eastern Mennonite when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 25-7.

Aydan Gaskins paced Christ Chapel Academy's offense, picking up three kills. Gaskins got some help from Jessica Wilbon and her six assists. Finally, Gaskins was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Christ Chapel Academy will look to defend their home court on Monday against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic at 5:00 p.m. The match will give Christ Chapel Academy their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Eastern Mennonite, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Timberlake Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
