Softball Recap: Yazoo City Takes a Loss

Yazoo City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 10-4 to the Riverside Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-5 on March 5th.

Yazoo City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Riverside, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Yazoo City will face off against Holmes County Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Riverside, they will square off against Brookhaven at 1:35 p.m. on Saturday. Riverside's pitchers better be ready for this one: Brookhaven has averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
