Soccer Game Preview: Corry vs. North East

Corry hasn't had much luck against North East recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Beavers will welcome the Grape Pickers at 10:00 a.m. Corry has given up an average of 4.2 goals per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Corry is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals on Saturday, they were much more limited against Cathedral Prep on Tuesday. They lost 12-0 to the Ramblers. While losing is never fun, Corry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 313th, while Cathedral Prep are ranked 37th).

Meanwhile, North East fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Fairview on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. North East have struggled against Fairview recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Corry now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for North East, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Corry skirted past North East 1-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Do the Beavers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Grape Pickers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
