Recap: American Heritage Stallions vs. American Heritage Patriots
The American Heritage Stallions were the 47-41 winner over the American Heritage Patriots when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Stallions took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Stallions came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Patriots are ranked 434th).
The Stallions lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Xander Gerard, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendan Gerard, who scored nine points.
The Stallions bumped their record down to 10-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for the Patriots, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American Heritage will take on Somerset Academy - Canyons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Somerset Academy - Canyons has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15. As for American Heritage, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Somerset Academy at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Somerset Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matchups.
