Recap: Hannan Wildcats vs. Bloomingdale Blazers
The Hannan Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Bloomingdale on the road and fell 69-42.
When it comes to explaining why Hannan lost, one person who can't be blamed is Eli Chapman. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Chapman hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Cameron Wright, who scored nine points along with five assists and five rebounds.
It was another big night for Marc Brown, who scored 21 points along with six steals and five assists for Bloomingdale. Brown hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Dorian Reese, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Hannan's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Bloomingdale, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.
Hannan will be playing in front of their home fans against Calvary Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hannan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Saturday. As for Bloomingdale, they will head out on the road to challenge Holy Family at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Holy Family will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 212th in Kentucky, while Bloomingdale is ranked 98th in West Virginia).
