Basketball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington lost against Hapeville Charter back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Washington Bulldogs took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hapeville Charter Hornets.

Leading Hapeville Charter to victory were D'Mari Jordan and Lyndale Roberts. Jordan went 6 of 11 on his way to 16 points, while Roberts dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Those 16 points gave Jordan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Person, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Washington has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season. As for Hapeville Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 7-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hapeville Charter beat Washington by a score of 75-62 on Saturday.
