Volleyball Recap: Hendersonville Comes Up Short on the Road Against Westmoreland + How To Watch

Hendersonville kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 3-1 to the Westmoreland Eagles. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Hendersonville was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Westmoreland work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 13-25, 25-19, 25-19.

Rose Minor paced Hendersonville's offense, picking up 12 kills. Minor got some help from Chloe Combs and her 33 assists. Natalie Walker controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Westmoreland found their leader in sophomore Georgia Cook, who had six digs and two aces.

Looking ahead, Hendersonville will square off against Mount Juliet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Commandos their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Westmoreland, they will challenge East Robertson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
