Football Game Preview: Sumner vs. Independence

Independence are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Sumner on Friday at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps state rankings predict a close match.

Independence came up short against Albany last week, falling 20-34. This makes it the second loss in a row for Independence.

Meanwhile, the match between Sumner and Kentwood was not a total blowout, but with Sumner falling 13-31, it was darn close.

The losses dropped Independence to 0-2 and Sumner 1-1. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
