Recap: West Potomac Wolverines vs. South County Stallions
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the West Potomac Wolverines, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell to South County 22-18. West Potomac has not had much luck with South County recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
It was another big night for Tommy Martz, who rushed for 188 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.
West Potomac's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for South County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
West Potomac will head out on the road to face off against South County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully South County is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Potomac in Virginia (South County is ranked 24th, while West Potomac is ranked 129th). As for South County, they will be playing at home against West Potomac at 7:00 p.m.
