Softball Recap: James Clemens Jets vs. Muscle Shoals Trojans
James Clemens lost against Muscle Shoals back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Jets fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Jets have suffered since April 4th.
Jaslyn Ragan was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single hit, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Ragan wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was AG Becker, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
James Clemens has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-22-2 record this season. As for Muscle Shoals, their victory bumped their record up to 12-14.
