Softball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland lost against Dunmore back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chiefs fell just short of the Bucks by a score of 4-3. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kamri Naniewicz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mick Eremo, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Lakeland now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Dunmore, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lakeland is set to face off against their familiar foe Riverside at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dunmore will take on rival Old Forge at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
