Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 51-31 to the Crestview Knights. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while the Knights are ranked 58th).

It was another big night for Ellie Kline, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 12 assists for Crestview. The dominant performance gave Kline a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaci Gregory, who went 5-for-6 en route to 10 points and three steals.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Crestview, their win was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-3.

As of now, neither Jefferson nor Crestview have any future games scheduled.
