Football Recap: Cooper City Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cooper City came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the South Broward Bulldogs, falling 39-6. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 428th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 157th).

Nick Dyer threw for 77 yards on seven of 23 attempts. Ace Taylor was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards.

South Broward found their leader in freshman Steven Wright, who threw for 228 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 42 yards and two scores.

Cooper City's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for South Broward, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Cooper City will square off against Hollywood Hills at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for South Broward, they will take on Doral Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th.
