The Iota Bulldogs will face off against the Iowa Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Iota is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Iota got the win against Grand Lake by a conclusive 13-5. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

Iota got a massive performance out of Haydyn Schexnayder, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. What's more, Schexnayder posted three hits, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Darbonne, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Iowa's offense. They fell 5-0 to Kaplan on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Yellowjackets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Iowa's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Iota, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
