Basketball Recap: John Carroll Catholic Comes Up Short

If John Carroll Catholic was riding high fresh off their 61-30 takedown of Vincent last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carver Birmingham Rams. The Cavaliers lost against the Rams in their previous head to head back in November of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-35 score last time.

John Carroll Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Carver Birmingham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

John Carroll Catholic will take on Gardendale at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carver Birmingham, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bessemer City at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
