Marengo barely beat Sandwich the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Marengo was the clear victor by a 16-6 margin over Sandwich on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Marengo, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Marengo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Sandwich, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marengo will take on Harvard at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sandwich, they will square off against St. Bede at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
