Preview: Ferguson Falcons vs. Braddock Bulldogs
Ferguson is 2-8 against Braddock since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. After each having a week off, the pair will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on November 15th. Ferguson is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Ferguson walked away with it. They took their match on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 28-0 win over Reagan. Ferguson might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matchups by 24 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, Braddock can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They put the hurt on Mourning with a sharp 27-7 victory. Braddock pushed the score to 21-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Mourning cut but never quite recovered from.
Braddock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brian Delrio, who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Delrio was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Alex Medero also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 9-1.
Ferguson couldn't quite finish off Braddock in their previous meeting back in September and fell 29-26. Can Ferguson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
