Softball Recap: L'Anse Creuse Comes Up Short

After flying high against New Haven on Monday, L'Anse Creuse came back down to earth. The Lancers came up short against the Port Huron Northern Huskies on Tuesday, falling 13-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 back in April.

L'Anse Creuse has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Port Huron Northern, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. L'Anse Creuse will face off against Lake Shore at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers are facing the Shorians at the right time seeing as the Shorians are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Port Huron Northern, they will head out on the road to square off against Armada at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
