Baseball Recap: Rim of the World Takes a Loss

Rim of the World was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 7-2 to the Colton Yellowjackets. That's two games in a row now that the Fighting Scots have lost by exactly five runs.

Jake Ristow and Mateo Jurado stepped up to the plate in a big way. Ristow scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Jurado scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Jurado has posted since back in March of 2024.

Rim of the World's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Colton, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Rim of the World wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-4 victory against Rubidoux on the 21st. As for Colton, they have also already played their next game, a 12-8 loss against Chaffey on the 21st.
