Football Recap: Holmes County Falls to Bozeman in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Holmes County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bozeman Bucks on Friday. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bucks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Bozeman got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hayden Gay out in front who threw for 211 yards and one touchdown on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 32 yards. A healthy portion of Gay's aerial production (114 yards to be exact) went to Evan Clements, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Holmes County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-8 defeat against Port St. Joe on the 29th. As for Bozeman, they have also already played their next contest, a 21-19 victory against Leon on the 29th.
