Baseball Game Preview: Framingham Flyers vs. Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors

The Framingham Flyers will head out to square off against the Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Framingham has struggled recently with seven losses in a row, while Lincoln-Sudbury will arrive with four straight victories.

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Framingham and Brookline, and Brookline kept the tradition alive. The Flyers came up short against the Warriors on Wednesday, falling 9-3.

Meanwhile, Lincoln-Sudbury narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Concord-Carlisle 6-5.

Lincoln-Sudbury pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Framingham, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Framingham might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Lincoln-Sudbury in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Flyers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
