The Simla Cubs are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against the Akron Rams at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Akron took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Simla, who comes in off a win.

In other batting news, Simla got a massive performance out of Wyatt Stanko, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Simla always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peetz only posted an OBP of .273.

Meanwhile, Akron had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Flatirons Academy.
