Basketball Recap: Faith Baptist School Comes Up Short

Faith Baptist School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 41-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calvary Christian Academy LIONS. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 43-23 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the defeat, Faith Baptist School saw an underclassman step up: freshman Nevina Jenkins went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points. The dominant performance gave Jenkins a new career-high in points.

Faith Baptist School's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Calvary Christian Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Faith Baptist School will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Holly Grove Christian at 4:00 p.m. on January 28th. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 62-22 win against Aquinas Academy on the 21st.
