Basketball Recap: Forbush Takes a Loss

Forbush was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 35th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through an 83-52 loss at the hands of the North Wilkes Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-36 back in January.

Forbush's loss dropped their record down to 0-22. As for North Wilkes, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons duke it out with the Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Wilkes Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for North Wilkes, they will be playing at home against North Surry at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. North Surry will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something North Wilkes surely won't give up without a fight.
