Carlisle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 41-13 loss at the hands of the Cedar Cliff Colts. While losing is never fun, the Thundering Herd can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Colts are ranked 139th).

Cedar Cliff can attribute much of their success to Bennett Secrest, who threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Cedar Cliff also got a significant boost from Alex Otero, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 137 yards.

Carlisle's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Cedar Cliff, they moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlisle will head out to challenge State College at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. State College is coming into the matchup with three straight wins at home, so Carlisle will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Cedar Cliff, they will venture away from home to take on Altoona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
