Softball Recap: Post Takes a Loss

Post was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hereford Whitefaces, falling 19-5.

Amberly Garza made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Hanna Krauser was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Post's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hereford, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Post will host Fort Stockton at 4:40 p.m. on Friday. As for Hereford, they will take on Ralls in a tournament on Friday.
