Basketball Recap: Wichita Christian Takes a Loss

Wichita Christian lost against Nazarene Christian Academy on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wichita Christian Stars lost 56-34 to the Nazarene Christian Academy Lions. The contest marked the Stars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Nazarene Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aidan Adams led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. Adams' afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alexander Neal, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Wichita Christian's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Nazarene Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13.

Wichita Christian will venture away from home to face off against Victory Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Victory Christian Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Wichita Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Nazarene Christian Academy, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Nazarene Christian Academy Lions duke it out with the Sacred Heart Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
