Volleyball Recap: Fairview Tigers vs. Corry Beavers
After flying high against Northwestern last Thursday, Fairview came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Corry Beavers on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Beavers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Fairview was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-14.
Gianna Campoli paced Fairview's offense, picking up nine kills. Campoli got some help from Gaelie Hynes and her 29 assists. Sarah Adams controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Corry was led to victory by Brynley Watrous and Sydney Mineo. Watrous had 14 digs, while Mineo had 15 digs and two assists.
Fairview's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Corry, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-0-3 record this season.
