Basketball Recap: EVAN EGANS Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Splendora

Crosby took a 39-point defeat the last time they faced off against Splendora, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Crosby Cougars skirted past the Splendora Wildcats 36-34. The 36-point effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Crosby's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from EVAN EGANS, who posted 16 points. PHILLIP JACKSON was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 10 points and six rebounds.

Crosby smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

When it comes to explaining why Splendora lost, don't look at Brock Kirby. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 10 en route to 18 points. Kirby continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
