Soccer Game Preview: Homestead vs. Braddock

The Homestead Broncos will face off against the Braddock Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Homestead is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They beat Southridge by a goal, winning 1-0. The victory was all the more spectacular given Homestead's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 416th, while Southridge are ranked 149th).

Meanwhile, Braddock hadn't done well against Jackson recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way two weeks ago. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Generals by a score of 5-3. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Braddock considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

They hit Jackson with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ezequiel Umbria (2), Diego Palomino (2), and Adriel Gonzalez.

The win made it two in a row for Braddock and bumps their season record up to 7-3-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two matchups. As for Homestead, their record is now 3-8.
