Basketball Game Preview: Parlier Panthers vs. Yosemite Badgers

The Parlier Panthers will square off against the Yosemite Badgers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Parlier and four for Yosemite.

Last Tuesday, Parlier ended up a good deal behind Minarets and lost 65-51. The Panthers were down 55-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Yosemite was beaten by Sierra 79-52 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Badgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1344th, while the Chieftains are ranked 502nd).

Yosemite's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Parlier, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.

Things could have been worse for Parlier, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-42 loss to Yosemite in their previous meeting on January 4th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Yosemite's Fallon Vaughn, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 boards. Now that Parlier knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
